Guayusa is an Amazonian super-leaf growing in Ecuador where the Andes meet the forest: one of the richest biodiversity regions in the world. Guayusa has been used as a beverage in the Amazon for thousands of years. Guayusa is a small plant that grows in the Chacras, the “forest gardens“, without the aid of fertilizers or chemicals. The botanical species of Guayusa is Ilex Guayusa, the cousin of the upper Amazon of the Yerba Mate (Ilex paraguariensis).

Guayusa is unusual: on the one hand it contains caffeine, and therefore it is useful to help maintain waking conditions, on the other hand it is rich in antioxidant compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids and L-Theanine which, in addition to fighting free radicals, have documented calming properties of the central nervous system and support of the cardiovascular system.

This combination creates a “shiny” stimulation, they call it “clean energy“, because you get the energyyou want without sacrificing how you feel after. It is also rich in chlorogenic acid, which is important for weight loss and benefits for the heart.
