• What is it: an antique cacao variety you can find in the heart of Peru, near the majestic mountains in the Junin region. Elfie was born in Junin and has a strong relation to this region.
• Origin: 2016 Elfi and Maxime opened their bean to bar chocolate lab in Montreal, Canada. Qantu is the national flower of Peru and Bolivia, synonym for unity and hospitality. The word Qantu comes from the native Quechua language and is pronounced „Kantu“.
• Ingredients: cacao beans, cane sugar, cacao butter.
• Notes: the intense notes of roses combined with notes of figs and dates, evoke flavours of the Pangoa’s high forest fresh aromas in the morning.
• Prize: Bronze – 2025 International Chocolate Awards World Final; Gold Medal – Academy of Chocolate Awards 2019; Silver Medal – Academy of Chocolate Awards 2018.
• Storage: this premium chocolate must be properly conserved at a temperature of between 14 and 18 °C and kept away from direct light and sources of excessive heat or cold. If, for example, it is left in the car in summer or winter it will suffer potentially ruinous heat shock.
